BEWARE: Possible FRAUDULENT SELLER If you attempt to purchase a 2020 Aprilia RSV4 RR Misano from "E. Smith" through a Cycle Trader ad, be sure you chase down every detail and demand to see proof of ownership PRIOR to issuing any certified checks or setting arrangements to meet to complete the sale transaction. If you investigate, seller is inclined to cry foul and end the transaction abruptly. Bike pics show Georgia plate. Seller "lives" in Dallas (McKinney). And, the lienholder is in Illinois - and "won't send the title to any address other than the Seller" when the payoff is received. Thus, you'd have to trust that a) the Seller owns the bike, b) the title will be delivered to you at some future date following Seller's receipt of it from the lienholder, and c) you haven't just paid to take possession of a motorcycle that you may potentially never own. Also - make sure you get a straight answer regarding the chain of ownership and custody... including the titling of the vehicle in California. Best of luck, friends. Keep the shiny side up! it was good for less than a month nice feel to it then one morning i start it up then it stop,the power sport in stamford ct say that they don't fix aprilia , the closest place is in newhaven ct that is a shame because it is very far , i feel like i am stuck , so i would not recomend any one to buy this scooter ever. The performance is top drawer. Yes, its a rocket but the handling is so good that it easily maintains corner speed so in back road riding conditions you don't really need a lot of motor. The build quality is very good - certainly a step above most of the Japanese bikes that I have owned. And it looks and sounds amazing - most riders I have met at gas stations, etc, haven't seen or heard one before - so there is a nice element of exclusivity. Dislikes: Mine came with a race can on it - extremely loud - got eyeballed by the authorities everywhere. I added a dB reducer - still loud but tolerable. Its a pretty dedicated riding position - though not as miserable as some of the other European bikes - its not conducive to long days in the saddle. Parts are harder to find than the bigger brands. Reliability: no rating, I haven't had it long enough yet to know. Show less

Where to begin... Ok have 2014 triumph street triple and in comparison to RSV4 it is like a man powered mower vs. A self propelled mower... the electronics on the RSV4 will save your a$$ without the skill you should have to be pushing a bike .. now this is not endorsing blind abandonment... I have put this bike in positions that would be 500% more difficult to correct than my other.. apologies for comparison as it is the only factual comparison I can make... have had it +165mph and it doesn't feel out of place... as the triumph begins to shutter at >130mph ... fyi I'm 200lbs and have +2 teeth on back and +1 on front of triumph... ... let's just say the electronic rider aids are insane... quick shifter auto blipper where have you been all my life... have race ecu, sc project exhaust, shorty levers, and integral blinker mirror block offs... sc project S1 exhaust is insanely loud ... so loud picked up evasion case bc I never heard cop behind me...well I was also enjoying myself too much Show less

I bought a new '09 model SR50 in the summer of 2009 and did lots of research before buying. It came with a chrome Leo Vince exaust which looked great. I can't compare power from stock because I never rode it stock. I had the ECU flashed and took out the restrictor plate in the intake. I normally rode this scooter at 45-50 mph., it's very fun!! It handles like a little sportbike with the upright comfortable riding position. The storage is just fine. The gas mileage was always over 100 mpg. at full throttle and that was awesome!! The fuel pump failed at 1800 miles and the dealer had it for two months because of a back order ($300 pump). I was not happy with that but it's a great and fun scooter and very economical. Show less

This really is a racebike with lights. What drives you crazy in traffic will make perfect sense at 70mph+. It was made to go fast and the rear view mirrors are useless to someone of my girth. Have plenty of points available on your drivers license. Show less

I have a aprilia tuono 2004 since 2006. It's a very exciting bike with lots of power. The sound is incredible through the akrapovic exhaust (no db-killer). I should hae bought this bike a couple of years earlier. Show less

I gotta say, this bike often gets overlooked as Aprilia is not a household name... but those who are overlooking it are really missing out. It is a great bike, comfortable riding position, and man does it pull. It can easily make a 21 year old out of a 30 something-plus man. A complete hooligan bike which can also cruise city streets. If you have not straddled an Aprilia, make it a point to do so! Show less

This is an awesome scooter. Besides driving it around town and in downtown Denver (no more parking problems), I've driven it to the Mother Cabrini Shrine and to Buffalo Bill's grave on Lookout Mountain. It had no trouble in going up the steep hills. I've also driven to Longmont and back home to Denver. Found a few nice restaurants in Golden, especially at Vincenzia's on 44th. It seems that the Italian blood in my scooter drew me to the restaurant. Show less

I bought my SR50R in July of 2006...the buying experience was not a pleasant one, but it was worth it. My best friend and I bought ours together in effort to combat the high gas prices. We both live in the Suburbs of Houston and ride downtown every day. I also ride a 2006 Yamaha R6 and I can tell you that the SR 50 is every bit as fun to ride. The scooter is comfortable, and reliable and it just plain looks cool. I have wrecked mine once on a gravel road (not recommended) and the SR 50 took it like a champ. Show less
