This is my second Triumph (had a Sprint RS before it) and I couldn't be happier. Despite the hooligan rep, this is really just a great standard motorcycle. From Sunday morning rides to a 2-week back-road journey across 4 states, this bike can do it... read more

My S3 is my first bike, and while it's probably a bit powerful for a first time owner, it handles so well and is so predictable that I was tearing it up with confidence after a couple of weeks. Wind is an issue over 65 or so- but that's to be expected and it really let's you feel what "going fast"... read more

Wind is an issue over 65 or so- but that's to be expected and it really let's you feel what "going fast" is. It's great for riding with the sports bike packs, and everytime i hit up a Harley shop with a buddy of mine, I get nothing but looks and old Triumph stories. Great bike and gets up to speed REAL QUICK. Nothing on the road looks like it.

I have owned several motorcycles and have enjoyed riding for a number of years now. I had kind of lost the passion for riding and was actually considering letting the sport go when I got a really good deal on my '03 sptrip I figured I could ride it for awhile then flip it and make a few bucks. After riding for only a few short weeks, I may never give this bike up! It is unbelievable! The handling, power, overall coolness. I got mine in silver it is so sleek & sophisticated. It reminds me of a middle-ager in really good shape that could kick some serious butt. It is refined and experienced yet can give the younger guys something to worry about. I got on my older Suzuki and it's like comparing a dump truck to a Porsche. I can't say enough about this bike. Luv it, luv it, luv it!!!

I have had my Speed3 since Jan '04. Since then I have put on the fly screen with the Laminar windshield (Highly recommended and looks way cool) which turns it into a long distance road burner. I have added the carbon fibre high pipe (sounds like a pissed off Porsche) I have also put on the rear hugger, fender eliminator and rear seat cowl. The bike has been an absolute blast. I cannot keep the stupid grin off my face while riding it so I got a dark tinted shield. I looked at the Ducati Monster, Suzuki SV, Kawasaki Z1000 and could not shake the urge to get the Triple. (My older brother bought a Triumph Tiger when I was a kid and I guess a got bit by the bug.) If you buy one you will not be dissapointed! Only one problem... get ready for old timers telling you Triumph stories and drawing crowds (not kidding on this one). Have Fun!

This bike is so awesome. I rode my 98 Ducati Monster M750 to this little shop in Marne IA, of which is about an hour away from me. It was a nice ride on the Ducati. This bike is so awesome. I rode my 98 Ducati Monster M750 to this little shop in Marne IA, of which is about an hour away from me. It was a nice ride on the Ducati. Little did I know it would soon be my last ride on the M750. I pulled up to the Dealership and the owner of the shop said Ducati huh, I proudly replied "yep had it since 2000", best bike I have ever ridden", the owner replied ever ridden a Speed Triple? I said "no", he said "well the keys are in it take it for a spin", I thought that was cool of him, but frankly, I wasn't expecting much. I let the 955i warm up for a bit then started off down the road, my first impression was wow this thing is a little bulky, but the seating position felt pretty good, then I spotted the highway and it was straight for a mile or two so I had to hammer it, I cracked the throttle back and vroom, the power of this thing was amazing, I was hurled back into a wheelie for a few seconds, then I hit second and wheelied again for a second and looked down and I was doing over 90mph in just a few seconds, I rode it back to shop with a grin on my face and said "you take trades" and the shop owner laughed and said "you hit the highway huh" I said "yep" I bought the black 955i that day and love it every time I get on it. Pros are the great power, the handling, the seating and everything is great. Cons are it's not really for long tours, the wind really beats you up, but that is the price you pay for being naked.
