I purchased the 2013 KLX-140L for my son who is a new rider with a little experience on an older Honda 80. This was a Christmas present for him and he couldn't be happier. The motorcycle performs excellently and is forgiving of new riders with a throttle and clutch that are not too sensitive. It has plenty of power and the handling is responsive. My son, after attending Arenacross in Tulsa is now making confident jumps getting 5 to 6 feet in the air. The landings are smooth with the front and rear shocks not coming anywhere close to bottoming out. We could not be more pleased with our selection of this bike for his first motorcycle and would recommend it highly. The staff at the dealership in Tulsa were friendly, knowledgeable and professional. I would return there for future purchases and service and accessories.

My dad traded in my old TTR90 for the KLX140L and I just love it, I already got the hang of shifting and have not stalled the bike yet. We are going to go find trails in the next few weeks. My dad is going to teach me how to jump and pop wheelies. I recommend this bike to anyone. My dad found a CR150F before this one. He took me to try it but I did not like the weight. The KLX feels lighter and the seat is more confortable, at least for me. I love my bike.

Well I've had this bike for 4 weeks and I love it. It's great for riding trails and it will pretty much go through anything and it's awesome at jumping. I jumped a 60 foot double and the bike took it very well. It has a lot of power and torque. It's actually pretty fast for a trail bike. Overall... read more

You should consider getting this bike for a 12-15 year old.
