1994 Kawasaki VN750-A10 Vulcan

I have been riding for three years now. I started on a Honda Shadow 500. I bought my '94 Vulcan used in April of this year. I have put over a thousand miles on it. I love the handling, the gauges, the get up and go (my husband can't keep up on his Honda 1100, I have to wait for him!). She...

She is a little cold blooded, but once warmed up purrs like a kitten. It is only a 750, so it runs high RPM's on the freeway (about 5000 between 70 and 75). I have been considering a bigger bike for the freeway 1 1/2 hour freeway commute to work, but I am having a hard time giving up the shaft drive, the self-adjusting valves, the centerstand, the fuel gauge and the tach gauge. None of which are available on most of the bigger bikes. Not a lot of after market parts out there to dress it up either like there is for Honda's in the same size range. Seems they are going after the 800 and 1500 market, seems a shame, I think this is actually a better bike.

I actually own the 96 model. This bike is a real performer. Lean angle, power, ergos, etc. It is happy where you are happy. It will cruise the boulevard or highway. The only reason I would move to a different ride is if I became unhappy with 5-6000 rpm highway travel. Other than that, I Love...

The only reason I would move to a different ride is if I became unhappy with 5-6000 rpm highway travel. Other than that, I Love This Bike. I am no skinny fish at 5'11" and about 250 pounds. No problems running with even the liter bikes. Seat is in need of upgrade and accessories are not as plentiful as most, but overall a great investment and ride. Wife is now wanting to ride her own so I think the 500 Vulcan may be in our future.

I had not ridden or owned a bike in almost 30 years until I purchased my 94 750 Vulcan. I rode the 750 Honda Ace, an 1100 Virago and an 800 Intruder before getting on the Vulcan. It just felt right and although I have only put about 300 miles on it, it seems to be a great mid-sized bike. I love...

It just felt right and although I have only put about 300 miles on it, it seems to be a great mid-sized bike. I love the shaft drive and liquid cooling. My wife rides with me and says her seat is quite comfortable. I plan to add an engine guard and rear fender rack. I am 55 years old and handling this bike is not a problem.

I bought my '94 Vulcan 750 Brand new, and since that day I bought it, it has had a vibration that comes through the bike. Three dealers have told me there was nothing wrong. I thought, with a shaft drive, it would be smooth, but I guess I was wrong. When you pull the clutch, the vibration goes...

I thought, with a shaft drive, it would be smooth, but I guess I was wrong. When you pull the clutch, the vibration goes away. So to all of those people who love your Vulcans, I think I would be better off chain-driven 450 Honda.

The black/teal color scheme for the 95' is one of the best ever. This bike doesn't bite back, very forgiving, good for beginner, but has enough lean angle that an experienced rider can have fun. Very reliable, with lots of nice features- center stand, tach, shaft drive. It was my first bike....

Very reliable, with lots of nice features- center stand, tach, shaft drive. It was my first bike. Since then I've had sport bikes, muscle bikes etc... The VN750 continues to please with acceleration able to keep up (or pull away) with all but the fastest cruisers. Magazine editors say its ugly....don't believe it, why is it still a strong seller after 16 YEARS !!!

I bought the Vulcan new in '92, and have put 20k on it. I added a windshield, leather bags, case guard, Cobra pipes, tank bib, and rear rack, and ride it for everything. It's a great all around bike, hiway, 2 lane roads, or twisties. Only problem in 8 years was a loose kickstand switch, otherwise, the bike has been bulletproof. I decided on the Vulcan because of mags (hate cleaning spokes!), shaft drive (ditto chain dirt), water cooled, and hydraulic valves. Seems like the right decision for me, it's been a good ride, not to mention a great look.
