Triumph Bonneville America reviews

The Triumph America is an excellent crusier alternative to Harley Davidson. Having owned both I enjoy my Triumph for low matenance, quick responsive engine with plenty of power. Build quality is excellent. On older models check for rust in tank this can lead to clogged carbs if left sitting too much. My 02 has had an update on the engine with a 865 kit several years ago giving it excellent performance. I upgraded the pipes to give it more the Triumph sound. Very pleased with the ridability even with the forward pegs. Highly recommend for the Triumph experience. You will have more people checking out your ride at group gatherings and rides. A fun bike. No leaks low matenance. Current owner of 6 bikes, 3 Triumphs, 2 Harleys and 1 Kawasaki Z900rs Over 50 yrs riding experience. Show less

She handles like a dream, runs great. For the cost, it has to be one of the best large displacement bikes out there. The comfort level and handling is superb. If your looking for a large displacement basic Cruiser, the TBird LT is a great one. I hope Triumph brings it back..!! Show less

This bike is fast and smooth. Bare bones make it look sleek, without missing any luxuries of a cycle. This 6-speed, 1200-horse-powered, quiet engine makes this beast a fun ride. Look good and drive safe, easy to maneuver and plenty of get up and go. Show less

The Triumph Bonneville Bobber is a classic motorcycle, fun to ride, looks great on the road with great performance capability from its 1200 cc engine and water cooled. The Bobber stands out with its unique and stylish design that goes back to the retro Bobber bikes of the past. I have enjoyed riding it on the back roads of San Diego County. Show less

(is REALLY the same as a Speedmaster 865, what I've owned) This has been a great motorcycle all around, in every way, had very few corrective maintenance issues ever, in the 15 years of owning it, just regular preventive maintenance is all I've had to do 99% of the time, it's also good on gas yet is still very powerful and can BRAKE FAST ! 2 discs up front have PLENTY of stopping power. Starts every time and sounds great for a parallel twin. Good power and handles nicely. Comfortable foot position for someone 6' tall. Nice array of parts to customize including performance parts. Overall a fun bike to ride. Show less

+'s Good to Decent power, very easy to ride, great seating position, easy to flat foot with a 32in inseam, looks awesome, people will come up to talk to you about it all the time, chicks dig it, sounds awesome with aftermarket pipes, huge aftermarket to customize your ride. -'s Stock exhaust is not loud or cool enough, stock seat is borderline tortuous for longer rides, vibey above 70-75, throttle is a bit touchy, clutch take up takes a little getting used to, clutch lever is a 3 finger gig without adjustment, brakes are just adequate with the rear devoid of any feel, a lot of people will come up to talk to you about it. I was a returning rider after a 25 year hiatus and this has been a perfect fit for me. Easily maneuverable, fun amount of power without being scary, and it looks great. People come up to me all the time to tell me what a cool bike it is. Starts every time and everything works perfectly. I love this bike. I am a sport tourer. I'm pushing 74 years old and my '07 Moto Guzzi Norge is starting to feel tall and heavy. I have a 28" inseam. This SE has a 29" seat. My only complaint is suspension (our roads in New England are pretty rough). I plan to install emulators in front and new (better) shocks in the rear. A windshield and center stand will be installed tomorrow. I rode it in the twisties in Vermont last week. It handles very nicely and has more than enough power. Throttle feel is great. Seating position is perfect for me. Gas mileage average for the first 900 miles is about 48 mpg. (hwy and back roads).
