Bought the 2004 Harley V-Rod VRSCB and it is awesome. The motor hits harder than I expected, smoothest bike that ive shifted, has power and serious speed (140mph, gets there fast). Handles better than a lot of newer bikes, sits low, and feels solid. Has a wide stance so not great for under 5'3. riders. Looks mean with that black frame. and definitely turns heads. Way more bike than I thought I thought. Excellent! Show less

This is a 1 Owner Harley (I'm # 2!)! I purchased this 'Night Train" from a friend of mine in Maryland whose husband passed away to get it out of her garage so she would not have to see it every morning when going to work and remind her of him! I had it shipped here to Clinton, Ar and have started it regularly and rode it once a month just to keep it running. I travel a lot in my business and pull a 38' travel trailer...no room for the bike. I sold my personal Electra Glide Classic and now rent them when I'm on the road throughout the US Show less

I have reached out 3x in the past month expressing interest in purchasing but I have not heard anything which is a bit disheartening. I'm actually ready to purchase with cash in hand. Every time I look at bikes this one pops up. Show less

The VROD started the REVOLUTION. The engine now in the Pan American. Sportster S and others. This engine performs, with power and linear torque that always makes you smite. With a set of Avon's, it almost flickable. Solid suspension and excellent breaks, make this the best Harley ever produced IMHO. Show less

Great bikes,they have plenty power,brakes are very good and the suspension works very good as well.-The water cooling and fuel injection is a welcome change also to help with those 80 degree days and better fuel mileage.- Show less

This is a fun bike with a lot of power and a unique appearance. I’ve had friends call my bike beautiful. At a 120 mph and pulling, you’ll start wondering if the wind will blow one of your legs sticking out in front off the peg. Water cold, single oil sump, 1130cc eye turning affordable crotch rocket. saddlebags will defile it And range of about 130 miles. The aluminum rims and forks put badly. Show less

I have owned this bike for over 14 years and never had any problem at all, I have owned a few Harleys and the Night Train has been the best, the most reliable machine I have ever owned, it has been all over and seen the country for years and when it comes down to it I would get on it before any other, dependable reliable and I have had more compliments on this bike everywhere I go, it’s a true Harley Davidson. After years of riding Japanese sports-tourers, I felt like a change and bought a Sportster 1200. Very enjoyable, but instantly had me wishing I had held out for a Big Twin. After much research, I decided that a Softail Night Train was the way to go. I am not ashamed to admit that the looks of the thing had much to do with the choice. I also wanted the simplicity, sound and character 1340 EVO engine, and like to do my own maintenance. For three years now, I have owned a 1999 'bike, and I could not be happier. Like all relationships, everything is not perfect. The 'bike is pretty slow, the brakes are adequate and the HD suspension (progressive shocks and fork springs are on my Christmas list) is just about acceptable, BUT.... After 21 years, the 'bike is showing few signs of age, a testament to the impressive original build quality. The feel of this bike, the way it feeds back to you on any ride, and the easy beat of the low tech EVO engine is a triumph of simplicity over technology. The riding position reminds you that you are there for the pleasure of the experience, and along with those incredible looks, well, I cannot imagine changing the bike anytime soon. If you want a motorcycle with an almost "vintage", visceral appeal that has you glancing back over your shoulder each time you have to walk away from it, then this is the sort of thing you need in your life. Newer Harleys are faster, smoother and far more complex, but for this very satisfied owner, less is definitely more. Be safe out there. Show less
