I bought my 2002 new in March of 2003. Before that, I had a Katana 750. The GSX-R600 was probably the best in the 600 class for 2002. Lots of performance parts are available. Mine is comfortable for a sport bike, has performed flawlessly, and is a sheer joy to ride. At an indicated 165 mph, it was like a rocket on a rail. Show less

First of all, with this bike you're getting the best of both worlds. Any GSXR 750 fan will tell this bike is simply the one to get. I have an older SRAD, but the thing still is crazy fast. I can get on the power band and be at 160MPH like it's nothing, and still be under control to chuckle about it. Am I crazy? Maybe. But still. If you're wondering if you should get a 600 or that 1000, why not have both with the 750? If you really want a bike to rip the twist, and still take off like a liter bike, get this bike, convert to a 520 race chain, a full Yoshimura exhaust and Power Commander. I guarantee you'll drop jaws from the liter riders. How do I know? I leave my friend on a RC51 in awe when I pass him by. Haha, but then of course he catches up and eventually passes on the long run (150MPH+). Show less

This is a great bike bar none. The weight of a 600 with the power of a bigger bike (just as long as you keep it in the powerband). I would recommend the GSX-R600 to anyone, novice or expert. If anyone tells you that you will get bored on this 600 they never rode it. Show less

I have been riding sportbikes since 1985 and this is my fifth. It has unmatched power, handling, and what a looker!! It has 9500 miles and not a problem at all. This bike is the true king of all liter bikes. Show less

This is the best bike out there and it will run 10.20s in the 1/4 mile if you need more then this fly a jet. This bike is a jet on two wheels. All you need is a Yoshimura silp-on and K&N filter and the gsxr750 is good for 135hp at the wheel. Need I say more? Show less

This has been my first and only bike so far and I must say I love it. I have put over 15K miles in two years and the thing keeps going and going without a problem. It's quick, fast, and sleek although the riding position is not the best for long rides. I love this bike and will keep it for a while. If anyone outgrows this bike in a span of couple of months that I keep hearing about and their names are not Rossi or Edwards you don't know how to ride and wheelies and burnouts aren't everything! This was the first bike I have ever bought or rode, and I can say that I couldn't ask for more. It is extremely comfortable on the hands, back, and shoulders. Every gear has awesome response. The smooth flow of power is noticed all the way around. Its quick and easy to control. The bike is a QUICK and AWESOME machine. Definitely recommend to everybody!! Show less

I just purchased a 2003 GSXR-1000. I am not to impressed with the bike. I rode my friends 2003 Honda 954 and that bike is not as fast but handles a hell of alot better. Honda Engineers got the Suzuki Engineers beat with handling. Yes the Suzuki is faster. But what is going to happen when that sharp turn comes up? You got to break that GIXXER down. The Honda is going to creap right past you. Believe me. I have been riding for years. Believe me I can smoke anyone street riding on the East Coast.
