I own a TTR-125L and it is top quality. This bike is not one bit bad. It deserves every star it got(all five). It is the best dirtbike I have EVER been on. Next time I am buying a Yamaha. I've had pit bikes. Honda. Suzuki. Kawasaki. I love Yamaha after all. This bike is perfect. I love pulling wheelies. I can beat my friend on his 2001 Honda Recon no problem. I can also beat my dad on his 2001 Honda 300ex which goes 55 easy. I ride this bike everyday. It is clearly a great bike with lots of speed. If you're looking into getting a dirt bike, go with the Yamaha. Show less

THE FIRST TIME I EVER STRADDLED A DIRT BIKE WAS LAST SPRING "05" SO I WANTED SOMETHING SMALL AND WITH LITTLE POWER. I PURCHASED A 2003 TTR 125L AND WAS VERY PLEASED. I HAD THE BIKE FOR A FULL YEAR AND WRECKED THE BIKE ON SEVERAL OCCASIONS, BUT THE BIKE JUST KEPT GOING. NOW I ADMIT THAT THE BIKE WAS A LITTLE SMALL FOR MY SIZE, BUT THE BIKE DID EVERYTHING I NEEDED IT TO DO FOR A BEGINNER. THE BIKE WAS A WONDERFUL PURCHASE. Show less

I got this new in 2003, TTR125LE, and it was the first dirt bike I ever rode. It's amazing for starters, and really anyone. If you have a 250/450 this bike is amazing for play. The suspension is really set for trails, over jumps it bottoms out. Handling feels secure and the weight isn't bad (179 dry, about 185-190 with liquids). Power is sufficient almost always, especially for beginners-intermediate riders. Braking is excellent (front disk 220mm and rear 110 mm drum, non-Large models have front and rear drum braking). Exhaust sounds nice stock and so does after market exhaust, definitely for those watching you, seeing as they don't have muffling helmets on. The seat height is 31.7" making it very accessible. This bike is definately no speed machine, but it will get you there and back with no problems. I am very satisfied with the reliablility. It will pull wheelies in second gear, but you really have to crank the throttle. The speed is fine for me. Overall I love this bike. Show less

I think the Yamaha TTR 125L is one of the top class bikes. It takes it forever to run out of petrol. I do all sorts of stuff on mine like wheelies and jumps and it take me anywhere and never lets me down - everything is good on it. I`ve had my TTR-125LE for about a year now and absolutely loved every second of it. The bike has an awesome powerband and delivers great power for any situation. I`ve had mine in water almost up to the back fender and it still performed great! This is by far the best 125cc 4-stroker out there. Show less

Great bike for trails and dual sport riding. Good power. Great looks. Love the electric start(great when you stall on hill climbs!!!) Handles great on road as long as you are going less than 50mph other wise it gets light in the front end(what do you expect it wieghs about 250lbs. This bike is sold as a dual sport in Japan. This bike has so much power. It has an easy electiric start no matter how cold it is. The only modifications...Yamaha should have put a skidplate and a rack on it. The bike is a hill climber. The bike has crazy low end torque. I wooped my stepbrother on bike he has a WR250F. This bike dominates!! Show less

This is a great bike for beginners to intermediate riders. My son loves it (5'9"; 150lbs) and it works for me. It has a low profile for woods and definitely NO SERIOUS JUMPING. All you need for a weekend warrior in our area. Now I would like to compliment it with a YZ426 for the father/son experience. Show less
