Yamaha FJR 1300 AE reviews

I have owned and ridden this Yamaha V Star 1300 Tourer for many years, and it is bullet proof. It is powerful for long two up touring trips, but light enough for zipping around town. What I love most about this bike is the bike is the low seat height which makes maneuvering very easy. I added lowers on the forks and that eliminated the buffering from under the windshield which is normal on all of the V Stars. It also has Cobra Speedster Longs for that beautiful V Twin engine sound. This bike is perfect for someone that would like the best of both worlds, cruising and touring without having to handle a 900-pound Harley or Goldwing. Show less

Road this motorcycle for 10 years. Always fun to ride. I never had any troubles with the motorcycle. The low center of gravity and low seating position makes the bike very stable. Acceleration was excellent for a big bike. Show less

I would love to describe my experience with this mptorcycle, but I can't because I never got to see the motorcycle because your algorythem for entry to the sales list was prohibited to me due to my zip code being erroneously ignored . Although my zip code is and has been valid for the 32 yrs I've had it, cycle trader seems to think it doesn't exist for me and consequently refuses to search for my yamaha frjes. Who ever wrote the program should be notified if it's deficiency. I'll continue to search for my yamaha unfortunately without your help. Too bad we couldn't do business. Show less

In 1967, Yamaha introduced the YR-1 as their first ever 350cc street model. The YR-1 Grand Prix was Yamaha's biggest bike to date . Ultra high performance 2 stroke with auto lube oil injection system that mixes the gas and oil automatically! 36 bhp at 7500 rpm! Awesome classic that has kickstart only, effortless and reliable starting every time. Cruises at 80 mph and top speed 100-110 with a quarter mile time 14.0. With a 14 second ET these defeated many a larger capacity bike, they are considered rare today. Although it vibrates a bit, its Fun to ride and has power to spare especially being a two stroke on a street bike, this thing gets up and goes! This motorcycle I traded my Kaw Concours for, Lighter, and more responsive, awesome power band, 44 miles a gallon and you use 87 .....comfort and cruising at any speed, live in North Georgia, best riding around anywhere . Great Bike For You And Best Friend To tour or cruise around on. Very comforable, Really Good milage. Has King, Queen seats and Floor boards for both driver and passagener. I have the factory seats and foot pegs if you want them Show less

I have been riding for 42 years.Last year upgraded a Suzuki 800 Volusia for my 2009 Yamaha 1300. This is my forever bike.What a difference. She handles great and keeps up with my Harley buddies no problem.I wish I had upgraded years ago. Show less

The vstar 1300 is a great motorcycle with power and reliability that is not matched in its class! Love my 09, 20000 trouble free miles! Mustang seat, ape hangers and Ivan’s tune are some of the upgrades that I have done. You can’t go wrong with these bikes. Show less

These are excellent bikes, I have had no issues with mine at all, starts every time and is extremely comfortable going down the road. I would definitely recommend one to anybody looking for a bike. All around good quality and style. Only recommendation I have is to have the ecu flashed to get rid of fuel cut on deceleration. Show less
