Yamaha's are known for High Reliability. My main reason I bought it. fits very weel my 6'3" frame, it can be easily adjusted to work for 5"9" riders. Smooth engine has very good performance and can be set up (switches) to make it very lively. I would ride it easily for 13 hours regularly. The Gas tank is very large and makes it relaxed to know you should get it home. Handling is very good and it can be pushed in the corners . Look up my information for other information. Thank You Cliff

This is a 50,000 miles review of my Anniversary edition Super T... I purchase this bike used for a much older gentleman with 10k babied miles and considered a garage Queen in perfect condition. This motorcycle came with every option from the factory but added accessories was, Russell all day seat, handlebar risers and handlebars along with taller windshield, performance exhaust, tuner, heated grips, two sets of accessory fog and headlights, neon, pegs and bags. Now on to what I do not like about the bike. When idling it sounds like my tractor and when you pull in the clutch the gear indicator goes away, it EATS rear tires every 2000-4500 miles but the biggest issue is that the bike seems top heavy. Now as far as the sound and the gear indicator go are two things I quickly got accustomed to but the heaviness took a lot of practice riding slow and the aftermarket seat sets me up higher so that had to be overcome. After about 2 months of riding and over a thousand miles my entire body feels at home on this bike as it fits me perfectly. The most important thing that I absolutely love is the overall fit and performance suited perfectly for me. With the tuner/commander this bike in sport mode acts like a sport bike and not a crosstouring machine. I will outrun people I ride with, even the sport bikes. Twisties is what makes me smile the most from this machine. The low end grunt raw power, with the way the motorcycle falls into the corners as if it's connected to your eyeballs, makes it effortless to ride 6 or 7 hours. The wind protection, riding position, sheer power, and Rider aids such as ABS, traction control combined with the fact it can all be turned of makes this machine even better. 2016 is very old technology so I can only imagine how great the 2023s are. Now for what the Super Tenera was actually built for... Gravel roads, fire roads, hard packed backcountry roads and the not so good County roads that are not maintained. The only thing I have found this bike sucks at is soft soil / sand / mud... It's heavy so not designed for this environment. I came from the KLR 650 many years ago and call that machine a true ADV Off-roading machine. This motorcycle has traveled thousands of miles on every type of gravel road known and handled them all with ease. So with this said I'm extremely happy with this bike and just got through doing a valve adjustment, drive shaft seal, fork seals and tune-up so for me a machine that can handle 50,000 miles of abuse on back roads in Texas Louisiana and Arkansas is a beast. I thought about a NEW bike and rode many... Even the new Pan America but after spending a half hour I realized it will take so many upgrades that the price was pushing 30 GRAND and then after ridding MY PAID FOR BIKE home I realized just how much I love this bike. I'd like to see a big update for 2023-2024 model.... For now I'll keep my bike for another 20-30k miles. Oh yeah BTW the rear tire situation is my heavy fast right hand... And it doesn't matter if it's a full street, 90/10, 80/20, or 50/50.. they all go slick fast.
