Had a Honda 550 decades ago and enjoyed riding it. Any bike with over 100k miles needs to be reduced significantly. I would rather buy a bike with moderate mileage of the same year than a same year bike with very low miles. These things aren't made to sit around and not be driven. Don't be fooled...

Supremely engineered. Get one of these. Cheap now used. I keep wanting to buy other bikes but the problem is my Blackbird...it does almost everything better than anything out there new or old. So any new ride would only be a 2nd bike. Yes, this bike was built by Honda to be world's fastest production bike and it was until being beat by Suzuki Hayabusa. Who cares? If you get to the 175mph or so the Blackbird will do, good for you. But the real genius of this bike is that it's an incredibly refined, brilliantly thought out, and super powerful all-arounder. It is not super heavy, it's low centre of gravity makes it so easy even in urban traffic. It's suspesion is only minimally adjustable but is set up just right. Great in twisties. Comfortable for touring. I installed VFR bars (2002 VTEC) and it was a big improvement. And it feels like it's screwed into pavement on freeways. Rock stable, and the power is just mental. It's a pussycat or tiger, ride it how you want.

I bought my F4 in July of 2005 from the original owner (a friend of a friend). It only had ~2800 miles on it. Great shape except for a few minor scratches, and totally stock. In less then 2 years I have put over 25,000 miles on it! A lot of Arkansas trips, track day, and many local rides (not...

It's a great all around bike, especially for the cost and age!

Extremely reliable, superbly comfortable and jaw-droppingly fast. I've had my CBR600 up to 275km/h...and the bike still had 4000rpm left to redline. As far as fuel economy goes, for a bike it's kind of a pig (my little '88 Mazda B2200 gets better mileage) but what can you expect from an engine...

As far as fuel economy goes, for a bike it's kind of a pig (my little '88 Mazda B2200 gets better mileage) but what can you expect from an engine that delivers than kind of power. I've toured between Victoria, Vancouver, Prince George, Edmonton, Calgary and back to Victoria (a trip of about 5000 km) and while my shoulders and rear end were a little tired all and all the bike performed spectacularly well. And and as far as cornering goes, I nearly crapped my pants the first time I dragged the pegs (this is my first bike) but the motorcycle didn't even blink. Steady and smooth no matter how hard you have it leaned over. Truly a tremendous bike and if you have a chance to pick one up in good shape, by all means scoop it up. Before I do.

This bike is sooo much fun! I got it as a x mas present. The owner never rode it but took good care of it so my dad got it for me. I love this bike! The stock version fouls plugs easily but I have mine jetted right and it has SO much power and I can clear triples easy, even 80 foot table tops! This...

The stock version fouls plugs easily but I have mine jetted right and it has SO much power and I can clear triples easy, even 80 foot table tops! This thing flys! I have a lot of experience on dirtbikes so I'm not so sure this is a beginner bike. It is for more experienced riders like me. Even though I'm a small guy, I can still fit on it and handle it.
