Performance was incredible in the beginning. Recently did a 520 chain conversion and sprocket change -1/+2 and the flapper mod, the bike was transformed. Power wheelies in first three gears. The bike absolutely rips to redline. Handling is fantastic and rock solid, even in the wet the bike barely twitches or slides. Quality is also very good. I even get about 45mpg. In my opinion the Honda is the best looking (by far) in it's class. This IS the 1000cc sportsbike to have.

This is one of the sickist bikes on the market. I would not recommend this as a first bike. It will get away from you if you're not careful. When you first take off and accelerate it feels as if you left your body back at the stop light! Do not underestimate this bike, it's no Harley, even though...

Do not underestimate this bike, it's no Harley, even though Hardley's are awesome; get this bike if you like riding in Mach 10 with your hair on fire!

My bike was purchased new, after 2 years on the road and the race track, and finally all its modifications are complete, and after about 300 pounds of essesive stock weight was removed I can write a review. I have been riding on the street since 1980 and have owned several Hondas. I really like honda cycles, the bike ran well as all hondas do, the fit and finish are perfect, as is the overall quality of the bike. It required a new stator and of course the speedo replacement otherwise it is flawless.

This bike is what I call the silent killer! No mods, all factory. I'm not a little guy and this bike barely knows I'm there! I make R1's cringe the way I just spank'em like it's nothing! No denying Honda got it right the second year for this bike. I actually have an 05. This is the bike that I plan...

No denying Honda got it right the second year for this bike. I actually have an 05. This is the bike that I plan on having for a while so I'll tweak it a little and pipe it and keep laughing at yamaha guys. Ride on!

I got this bike last November 2004. I have always been a Honda fan, but not in the liter class. I decided it was time to see what it was all about. I took this baby to the track and I was amazed on the handling capability. Every time I ride this bike, no matter what, it is always fun. After all...

I took this baby to the track and I was amazed on the handling capability. Every time I ride this bike, no matter what, it is always fun. After all modifications and dyno tuning, it is impossible to keep the front wheel on the ground. I recommend this bike to experienced riders.

This is the most fun I've ever had on a motorcycle. I used to own a 2000 H-D Softail and I loved it, but it could not even compare to this bike. I've riden a few different sportbikes and never really liked them, but a few years ago I got on a modified 1999 CBR 900 and I really liked it. So after...

So after waiting and waiting... when the '05s came out I just had to have one.

I bought the 1000RR after a few years with a 929. It was a wild difference. Honda had improved on a lot of areas (fit & finish, ergos, etc). The jury is still out on the hesd. Without being able to tweak it, it's pretty hard to dial in the bike. I think the seat is a little better, but if ridden...

Have to say that this bike is one of the best all around bike out there. I have ridden R1, Gixxer 1000, Ninjas and other sports bikes, and none of them compare to the style, comfort and the ride of this bike! The 600 RR is a nice bike too, but the 1000 RR is night and day compared to power and ride. didn't like the gray lower fairing; so it was repainted, almost matching and man does it look good! Have fun and be safe!

Okay I'm 30, but ride like I'm still 18. This Joker handles like a hot knife going through butter (smooth & clean). I recently took a trip to Idaho and maxed out at 186mph. One word... AWESOME, that Joker was soooo smooth. It rides well on one wheel as well even at 130mph! As for the sweepers, also amazing, the balance on this bike is ridiculous! The engineering is so fine tuned on this bike, it's a peice of art... truly! I don't think Honda can do wrong. I wish however that the bike would not bogg down at take off... I would like immediate response when you jump on the gas. I highly recommend the CBR 1000 RR, even if you are thinking about the 600, simply because you will grow out of the 600 in about 3 hours, trust me you are going to want the extra power!!! This Bike Is Bullet Proof! Low maintenance. See you on the road...I'll even waive hello when I see you.

Whether it is the quarter mile or a track, the CBR is very competitive. But it does have an uncomfortable seat compared to the GSXR and the ZX-10. The Pirelli Diablos that come with some of the CBR's are the best tires I've ever played...
