The bike is a joy to ride, much lighter than a Gold Wing, and it is its little brother with proper Honda performance. Light weight increases its agility and the proven 4-cylinder fuel-injected engine provides the power to take you both to the top of Pikes Peak without a sweat. This is a great ride. With a V4 four stroke it has a smooth acceleration and ride, with a nice wide seat. Bluetooth audio was a nice plus for this machine. Saddlebags make it very functional for short runs or a weekend overnighter. Highly recommend the CTX as a sport cruiser. With a 1300 cc engine it is a lighter handling bike. Show less

This is great bike once you get the front suspension lined out. I have owned every thing from a hayabusa to ultra classics,1800 goldwings if this one had cruise control it would be the winner, front springs to your weight and 5" of fluid from top of forks (very impotant] and the bike changes use 5 weight. This bike handles great and is very comfortable. May be my last bike I really enjoy it. Show less

I have owned a 2014 Honda CTX 1300 deluxe for 5 years. Extremely comfortable, nimble and powerful bike . The ABS braking system excellent. Great fit for someone ~5'5" to 5'10". Always reliable. Good for long rides and cruising around town. A mini Gold Wing of sorts. Show less

I own a honda ctx d ct and would not trade it for anything. It is is a very thought out bike. A pure joy to ride and own. The d ct took a little to get used to but now I just enjoy the ride instead of changing gears pulling in clutch. Lot of people will probably bash this bike without even trying it but there will always be haters. For me this bike is it. Happy I bought a honda. Tim j. Show less

This is the 5th bike I have owned since I started riding in 1986, and the second bike I have purchased brand new. I got the 2014 CTX700D as a leftover in 2016. This is overall by far the best motorcycle I have owned. Mine is the 6 speed manual, and I added the hard saddle cases, a Cee Baileys high windscreen, a center stand, a Corbin saddle, a luggage rack/backrest and a gear indicator. Handling is the main key to a great motorcycle. This is one of the the easiest to handle street motorcycles there is. Even for it's 500 lb weight, it's does what you want it to do, when you want it to do it. Braking is beautiful, more than adequate even in paanic situations. Mine is non-ABS, but even so you wouldn't really need ABS. The bike over 8000 miles has been 100% reliable. Always starts right up, and is easy to maintain other than the air filter. Center stand helps with chain lube. Wish it had shaft drive, but understandable considering the low price. I wore the original Bridgestone rear tire out prematurely at 5K miles, but that was my fault for not checking the pressure often enough. Lesson learned. Transmission shifts like butter. Enough said there. Has typical Honda first gear clunk, but normal. Engine feels as smooth as the inline 4 cylinder of the CB650 I owned years ago, but the CTX is without the strung-out RPM's. It doesn't take much to get the CTX going and it will cruise at interstate speeds with no trouble at all at lower RPM's. At 50 HP it's not a powerhouse, but don't let it deceive you- it will walk away from heavy Harleys or anything but exotic supercars at the light effortlessly. This engine is excellent, and reports of over 100K miles of life... well, it's a Honda, 'nuff said. And MPG- how about 60 or so? Every day, every time. Comfort? OK, the stock saddle sucks. I got the stepped low Corbin, and that did it. Comfy as it gets on long country rides. This bike seems to fit newer or older experienced riders the best. Those who want to gain experience on an easily managed bike or those older guys or gals who just like to cruise the back roads. It's not the sport-bike for the male-dominant testosterone fueled 20 year old. Best thing is there are a lot of options and accessories for this bike, you can easily customize it for your wants/needs. Show less

I have been riding 35 years , always good on two wheels , went from a gl1800 to the ctx1300. Needed a lighter bike. Was a good choice. It has great power , handles well. Is quiet but still sounds right. Always turn key and go. Like Honda should be. The seat is to hard. Passenger not to happy about that.lights are led were good. Gets hot in summer heat from engine . Much better for spring and fall rides. Show less

I think Honda got it right with this bike. I have the CTX700 DCT with the fairing and it is a really nice ride. It is very smooth and handles great and gives 65 mpg. It takes the interstate great - I can maintain 75 mph. and it isn't even breathing hard. It's a really nice bike and fun to ride. Show less
