this is the perfect size for a cruise in the mountains or a ride up the coast. Good gas milage (about 55mpg depending on the rider) . Easily rides two comfortably. Great bike all around... for beginners, women, seasoned riders. I've been riding since 1967 and this is the BEST ALL AROUND bike I've owned. I love the body style, looking like older bikes and the custom paint is a head turner. Show less

I am 71 years old with a bad knee from a previous collision with a drunk driver, I'm looking for a bike as my final bike to carry me to the point I can no longer ride, I've owned 35 different bikes in the last 55 years all brands and types, there are advantages and disadvantaged to cruiser sitting position but the bike is fairly comfortable, there's another bike I'm looking at the NT700 but I think the ACE is the one it's lighter than a Harley has plenty of power I've run this thing to 110 mph most evo Harleys won't do that, plenty of luggage space, it handles great and is STABLE in turns like it's on rails, if you like rumbling exhaust of a 45 degree twin you might be disappointed because it's quiet, other than that I love this bike it's bullet proof, reliable old school no gas gauge,, those that say it needs more power I disagree plenty of power love the bike. Bought this bike because I liked the look of it, mine is Pearl Ivory Cream and Black, named her Pearl, lots of tasteful aftermarket studded accessories, driving lights,saddle bags, etc. Lots of torque, almost as much as my 93 V65 Magna, which is saying something, factory exhaust does not need replacing, excellent exhaust note, turns easily in the 16', very nimble, vibrates a little due to the single crank pin but that's what makes it even greater. Can't believe these bikes go for so cheap. They're a hidden gem. 81,000kms on mine. Replaced all fluids voluntarily, oil and filter of course every year, brakes and tires recently and I'm good for a good while yet. Love the bike. It's on bikez.com it's way in in the pics but if you look you'll see the front of a tractor to the right in my garage. Don't hesitate, get one. Really fun to ride. Show less

Great bike Harley got to heavy for me, this thing has about the same performance and speed of an Evo Harley but 150 lbs lighter, feels like a Bob sled in the curves handles great seen 150,000 mileage examples love simplicity, no computer ABS, just change oil and ride, Show less

Yes I've not owned long but could be the best value per dollar except the Norton I bought for 500 dollars and sold for 1000, it will cruise comfortable on the interstate at 70 or instill confidence in the twisties, maint cost very low reliable won't leave you stranded, love the bike my 25th 50 years of riding. I love my 98. Owned for 2 years now. Put 11,000 miles. Has 30,000 miles total. Gas, oil and tires thats it. I love that no valve maintenance is required. Very low cost of ownership. I see no reason that this bike wont hit 100,000 miles. Though not a full touring bagger, its intermediate nature suites my (1up) just fine. Im 65 and this bike hustles enough to satisfy my urges when needed. The motor revs out pretty good when required, no short shifting needed. I do agree up to 70 mph is the sweet and that fine by me. Its all about taking in the sites these days and not the old, how fast can i get there. I have yet to scrape pegs but it can handle a aggressive corner carving ride. I have no problem keeping up with sports bikes riding atcs good clip. Have amazed a few of them. Harleys not an even issue. Still good low mileage bike are out but I wouldnt hesitate if you found one with 50,000 miles on it. As they say, this Honda was built to last. Buy 1 Show less

I bought mine new after not riding for several years. I thought it would be a great bike until I wanted to move up in size. I was so wrong!! This beautiful ride is gorgeous, comfortable and super reliable! Who could ask for more!! Maintenance is cheap - mileage and performance are outstanding!! I expect this bike will take me to 100k+. Last bike I'll ever need! Thank you Honda, I'm going to enjoy every mile and save money all the while!! Show less

I have a 2003 black and grey Shadow 750 deluxe. This bike has good power, sharp lines and beautiful chrome everywhere. Honda Shadows are exceptional bikes, very reliable and real head turners. People mistake them for Harleys. I would buy a Shadow again. It is too bad that Honda stopped making the Ace. I am sure that they would still have the following that they had before. Show less
