This bike is the best bang for the buck. If you want a bike that doesn't give you any trouble for a low cost, this is it. Change the sproket to a 38 tooth so lower the freeway rpms and you couldn't ask for anything...

This is my third Honda street bike, and I absolutely love it! From the feeling and the rumble of the engine, to the styling, the Shadow ACE is a bikers dream! One gets all the Harley styling without any of the headaches or the exorbitant cost. In fact, most times, people ask me what model of Harley it is. The ride is smooth and comfortable, with plenty of power for passing and quick starts. If you plan on having passengers often, I would recommend a sissy-bar, so your passenger stays on the bike when you take off! At cruising speed, with your legs stretched out, you can almost forget that it is a motorcycle and not a La-Z-boy. Also, there are a variety of extras that can be added to customize the bike to your exact specifications and needs. Because it is a wide and fairly heavy bike, I wouldn't recommend it to a beginner, but if you're looking for your next bike, I strongly suggest you take one for a spin. One test ride and you should be hooked... I was! Keep the rubber side down, and keep rolling!

At least that is how my wife describes my love for this bike. I have looked at different bikes for almost two years and kept coming back to this one. Wish I had bought this model two years ago and not wasted my time looking. Lots of accessories and you can make this bike look like a low rider, wide glide or anything in between. Everyone at first glance thinks I am on a Harley. I LOVE THIS BIKE!!!!

I replaced the rear tire about 5,000 miles ago, and I change the oil as recomended. (What a refreshing change from the monthly shop visits I had with my Sportster.} This bike will not win any drag races. It seems less punchy than other bikes I have had in this size. But, it is a cruiser and one should not really expect that. It will cruise all day long at 85 mph. It doesn't seem to be effected as much by cross winds as other bikes I have owned. Very stable. If it went 0 to 60 in 2 seconds, it would be perfect.

I brought my VT 750 CD new November 1998, Since then I've put 38,000 Miles on the Bike. My wife and I have had so much fun on mine I brought her a VLX 600 for her birthday in 1999. The only weak spot on the bike is the undersized Chain and Sprockets,I've replace the chain three times and the sprockets twice. Ive been getting around 12-13000 miles on the back tires and replace the frist front tire at 31,000 miles. The speedo cable twisted in half at 24,132 miles, it cost me $10.34 for a replacement cable. The only thing on the bike that you have to becarful about is the reserve tank. If you don't fill it up till its in the neck, and then keep filling it up it will hold at least another tenth to two tenths gallons of fuel, you will not have enough reserve to go more than twenty miles! The bike is the most reliable bike I've ever owned. I was worred about the size of the bike. I'm six foot one and tip the scales at 265 lbs. and like a bike that can move me along at a fast pace. Even after adding a 21 inch windshield and leahterlike saddled bagges it still moves real good. I've load the bike down with camping gear and rode all day and a good bit of the night to get to biking events and never had any problems on the rode. I would recommend this bike to anyone who loves to ride a bike that loves to be ridden. Don H.

I have had my motorcycle since July 1998, and up to this date it has completed 30,000 kilometers without many problems at all. The engine is a pearler; it has not missed a beat since day one. I too have had to change sprockets and chain, worn out one rear tyre and about to purchase a front tire at 30,000 mostly highway kilometers. I'm having such a good time that my wife a very staunch anti motor cycle critic is starting to change her attitude to motor cycles that I have the ok to purchase a new one. However due to our combined weights we will have to go a larger size. Any way, the bikes a nice two tone color and I am often complimented on it. And above all its a gem. Reliable and dependable. Remember, ride to stay alive. Regards Ross

The only thing I did not like about the bike was the factory chain and sprockets. I had to have them replaced at 10,000 miles. The after-market items I used look as though I will get 20,000 out of them. It works excellent as a commuter bike and the occasional long trip to get away from the world.
