2006 Harley-Davidson reviews

Bought her back in 2008 with only having 1500 miles on her. She had the Stage 4 Kit already installed by the pervious owner by the Harley Davidson Dealership she was sold at. Now its 2025 and she only has less than 16000 miles on her. Always did regular maintenance on her and before I took her out for a long trip this year had the local HD Dealership inspect the cam chain tensioners. Even though they didn't look bad based on what I've seen and heard I could have driven her for another 10000 miles or more before I would have to worry about it, but I told them to go ahead and change them. Reason being it would have to be done sooner or later and if they were to go bad it would end up costing more money for repairs. Also with the bike being 19 years young I figured it was best. Also the inner primary seal just so happen to go bad at the same time. So once repairs were completed costing less than $2000.00 she was good for many more miles and years to come. I've been ready for over 47 years many Motorcycles, but mostly HD. The oldest one was a 1973 FLH that I had back in 1987. Drove her for many of enjoying miles until I bought a 1997 HD Electric Glide Classic. This Road King rides like a dream on long or short rides and with having the stage 4 kit on her making 91HP she keeps up with the best of them! Show less

2006 883R sportster , professionally modified by Steve Shore , former builder , customizer for Iron Horse magazine . Mild custom , with many uograde components , all "top shelf" eg. Wiseco, Mikuni,Screamin' Eagle , SuperTrapp , Twin-tec , and more . Very agressive performer, always garaged and never ridden in wet weather . This is an older HD, so obviously not quite as comfy as the newer models; however, it has held my wife and me in good stead through long trips from SoCal up to Wyoming and Victoria, B.C., among others. With the upgraded Performance Package installed in 2012, the overall power increased by about 15%, and that was a worthwhile addition. I just turned 70, and my joints are starting to fail on me, so physically it was time for me to admit that Father Time has gotten the best of me, at least when it comes to riding a bike. But I've loved my HD from the day I purchased it, and although over the sixteen years that I've owned it, it's got a few bumps and nicks, it's still a solid bike, and if I was ten years younger, I wouldn't consider parting with it. Easy riding Harley ultra classic with all the bells and whistles. Full package hard saddle bags. Most of the miles were road trips between Midwest and Arizona. Windshield pockets are added and two helmets included. Show less

Decent shape. 85,000 miles. Clean title runs and rides just fine. Kenwood stereo. $5,000. No trades. Last service was last spring less than 100 miles on service. Only reason for selling is I bought another bike. Show less

Dependable Motorcycle runs excellent well maintained Garage Kept, Like New , No Dents , No Scratches, LED Head Light, LED Turn Signals Extra Seat, Just bought a New Mustang Solo Seat New Plugs and New Spark Plug Wires and has New Progressive Shocks Heavy Duty 11” Has H-D Spring Shocks 12” that were on the Bike when I bought it. Was an amazing experience. Was very effortless. I was able to look at many motorcycles until I found the best fit for me. Navigating through the website was a joy. The large selection of bikes along with tons of information on each individual bike was great. Show less

I bought mine in 2014 and kept it until 2020. Pro: It's a fun bike, very quick, handles great, flips back and forth with ease. I enjoyed it quite a bit. I bought it because it it epitome of a motorcycle. Bare and raw. Con: If it has the stock tires, get rid of them. They spin too easy and in the rain they are dangerous. Unless you are a young rider and enjoy the wind in your face and don't mind the stiff suspension, this bike will wear you out on a long ride (6+ hours, and over 60 years old) Currently have a Street Glide but still appreciate the looks of the Low Rider Show less
