Bought her back in 2008 with only having 1500 miles on her. She had the Stage 4 Kit already installed by the pervious owner by the Harley Davidson Dealership she was sold at. Now its 2025 and she only has less than 16000 miles on her. Always did regular maintenance on her and before I took her out for a long trip this year had the local HD Dealership inspect the cam chain tensioners. Even though they didn't look bad based on what I've seen and heard I could have driven her for another 10000 miles or more before I would have to worry about it, but I told them to go ahead and change them. Reason being it would have to be done sooner or later and if they were to go bad it would end up costing more money for repairs. Also with the bike being 19 years young I figured it was best. Also the inner primary seal just so happen to go bad at the same time. So once repairs were completed costing less than $2000.00 she was good for many more miles and years to come.
I've been ready for over 47 years many Motorcycles, but mostly HD. The oldest one was a 1973 FLH that I had back in 1987. Drove her for many of enjoying miles until I bought a 1997 HD Electric Glide Classic.
This Road King rides like a dream on long or short rides and with having the stage 4 kit on her making 91HP she keeps up with the best of them!

A little tall for a shorter rider, center of gravity is high when going slow ( stop and go traffic, parking lots) so know what you're getting. Not a low harley.
3 riding modes, great technology and braking.

Review: 2023 BMW K1600B – Power, Prestige, and Pure Riding Bliss
The 2023 BMW K1600B is not just a motorcycle—it’s a grand touring experience engineered for those who demand everything. It blends jaw-dropping performance with true long-distance luxury, wrapping it all in a low-slung, menacing silhouette that turns heads before the engine even starts.
At its heart lies BMW’s iconic 1,649cc inline-six engine—effortless, smooth, and powerful. With torque available practically off idle, the K1600B launches with authority and cruises with grace. There’s a reason this powerplant has a cult following: it’s mechanical perfection.
But the performance is only half the story. What sets the K1600B apart is the way it pampers the rider. Heated grips and seats, an electronically adjustable windscreen, reverse assist, and keyless ride are just the beginning. This bike doesn’t just get you to your destination—it elevates the entire journey.
And when it comes to safety, BMW delivers in full. With Dynamic ESA (Electronic Suspension Adjustment), Adaptive Headlights that follow the curve of the road, Hill Start Control, ABS Pro, and Dynamic Traction Control, the K1600B is as intelligent as it is powerful. The technology works seamlessly in the background, giving you total confidence in every condition.
The massive 10.25” TFT display is crystal-clear and loaded with intuitive controls—navigation, bike status, ride data—all beautifully integrated with BMW’s best-in-class interface.
Then there’s the presence. The styling is unmistakable: long, low, and loaded with attitude. The K1600B isn’t flashy—it’s commanding. Since the day I bought it, not once have I ridden it without getting at least one compliment. People literally flag me down at stoplights to say how incredible this bike looks. Once, a couple rolled down their window at an intersection just to shout their admiration—she even leaned across his lap to say it herself. It’s that kind of bike.
Simply put, the 2023 BMW K1600B is a rolling masterpiece. It’s what happens when no compromises are made. If you’re looking for a motorcycle that redefines luxury touring while delivering uncompromising performance and safety, this is the one.

This bike has enough power to go 90 with me on it and still have more to give. I added the Triumph frame sliders and passenger grab rails. The passenger grab rails are a must if you are riding with someone. With my wife(140) and I this bike will go 80 and still want to go faster if needed. Bike has ABS,traction control, rider modes, and a quick shifter. You can also tame the throttle for new riders too get use to the power before unleashing it all. I love this bike and would recommend it to anyone!

I'm writing as a passenger, which is maybe unusual. My husband and I have made several cross country trips from Wisconsin, mostly to Texas and Wyoming. The passenger seat on our 1995 Ultra Classic Electra Glide 30th Anniversary Edition is so comfortable, it's hard to do it justice here. I had back problems and pain in my legs, and on our first trip, I was worried about going on such a long ride on a motorcycle. But when we got to our destination, my aches and pains were gone. Maybe the steady vibration helped, but I couldn't believe the passenger seat was so soft and relaxing. My husband kept remarking how well it handled with two people, and it certainly felt like a smooth and effortless ride. I was only nervous when he took us on the Beartooth Pass going out of Yellowstone. When I peered over the edge of the mountain road (with no guardrails!) and saw the switchbacks a thousand feet below, it made me want to clutch the armrests, close my eyes, and sink into my seat. But we were in our sixties then, young and adventurous. If you're a passenger, I can't imagine a better motorcycle than one like this.

While it looks like an aircraft carrier it handles like a sport bike to a very center of gravity.
Towed a camper with my Gold Wing 8,000 miles in 5 weeks and it performed flawlessly.
If well maintained you can get about 300,000 miles on an engine. Bulletproof bike!
